In-House Printing

Why do we choose to print ourselves?

Unlike many of our competitors who decide to contract out with their printing, we choose to print in-house. This gives us more creative control over our finished products and our clients are not waiting weeks on end for their prints. In addition, we can inspect every aspect of the final print, making sure it is perfect for our clients, without having to waste time sending final products back to the printers when things are not right. We are experienced professionals in the photographic trade, and we strive for the best in all that we do.

Photoshoots

The standard and premium package both come with an amount of final prints. Each print is equivalent to one photoshoot, for example; the premium package comes with four final A3 prints, therefore, there are four different photoshoots to be discussed in the face to face consultation. Each shoot will be different giving the client a varied choice of portraits to cherish and love forever.

Print Sizes

At this present time we only print two sizes, 10x15 and 7x10.

10x7:
These sized prints are specifically for the 3XM Ultimate mats and the Matt Black & Silver Mounts. Each image is printed on 271gsm Oyster paper.

10x15:
These sized Prints are printed onto A3 sized photographic paper. This gives the photograph a white border framing the image. Having this border makes it easier to mount and frame if in the future you decide to do so.

Anniversary Packages

Diamond Folio, Silver, and Platinum packages, also known as our anniversary packages, have between four and six different shoots and do not equate to the print amounts, unlike the standard and premium packages. This is due to these packages being much bigger, therefore, we need to have a set amount of photoshoots for each package.

Please Note:
The Anniversary packages are not yet available. We intend to roll these packages out near the end of the year or at the start of the new year, so keep a close eye out for those changes.

Consultations

There are two consultations. The first being the initial consultation via telephone or email when you first contact us for a booking. Once your booking has been confirmed, you will have a second face to face consultation discussing the photoshoots, styling, what happens next, etc. The initial consultation, either phone or email, is free. The second face to face consultation fee is included within the package you have chosen.

Where is the studio?

Portraits In Stone is not studio based, we are location based. We visit you in the comfort of your own home. All the photographs you see on this site and our social media pages are all taken in someone's home or on location of the clients request and choice. We have used staircases, garages, living rooms, hallways, and many other places in and around the home. This gives our clients more freedom and helps them feel more relaxed as they are in an environment they are comfortable in and know well. We are fully insured to give you piece of mind and the knowledge you and your own are in very safe hands.

I really enjoyed my session. My nerves were settled and I was made to feel relaxed within minutes. I've never had a sitting before so I didn't know what to expect. All my questions were answered and time was spent with me getting to know what I wanted and who I was. An unexpected and enjoyable day. The results are amazing.
